About Prospero

Meet Prospero! This Prosper cutie is a young male terrier mix, estimated to be around 8 months old. He weighs 22 pounds currently and we estimate he'll be 35 - 40 pounds when he's fully grown. He's a smart, curious and playful puppy, and he loves to cuddle. We think he would do great in most homes! He has had a rough start, coming to us extremely underweight. Since then, he's made huge progress in his foster home. He is quickly learning basic commands and important doggy manners, including sit, come, and wait. He is crate-trained and has almost mastered potty-training (but, he does still have occasional accidents.) He plays well with other dogs, people, and children, although sometimes he can get too rough with submissive dogs -- he needs a playmate who can tell him, 'No!' when needed. Like most puppies, he loves to play, and usually needs 15-20 minutes of playtime in the evening, otherwise he can get a little mischevious. We do not know how he interacts with cats or other animals.
