Meet Hexum, a lovable and spirited nearly six-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier from Atlanta, GA, whose brindle coat and white chest match his bold and quirky personality. Hexum is a big-hearted companion with a zest for life that will keep you smiling every day! Hexum is a playful and energetic pup who thrives on activities that match his lively nature. He adores running at the park, playing tug-of-war with his favorite rope, and chewing on bones during downtime. With his high energy and endearing personality, Hexum makes every moment an adventure. Hexum knows a variety of commands, including 'sit,' 'wait,' 'leave it,' 'night night,' and 'go to your house.' He's crate-trained and house-trained, making him ready to transition into a new home. He has recently shown some resource-guarding tendencies, one situation even led to him nipping to protect his food. He'll need a patient and understanding caregiver who can continue working with him on training to help him with that behavior. While he has shown selective behavior toward other dogs and doesn't currently get along with animals or children, Hexum thrives as the sole pet in an adult-only home where he can enjoy undivided attention. Though he's not a fan of car rides and experiences some separation anxiety (managed with medication), Hexum is otherwise a healthy and happy dog. He's neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His ideal routine includes two meals a day, plenty of playtime to burn off energy, and a cozy spot for bedtime-he's a creature of habit who knows how to wind down after a fun-filled day! Hexum's most endearing quality is his huge personality-he's a goofy, loveable dog who will keep you laughing with his quirks and antics.
