About MR CHOW

ORANGE COUNTY, CA (S CAL)- WAGS (Westminster Adoption Groups and Services)- ID #16883- shy, younger chow found as a stray and is currently Rescue only- adorable but neglected male chow- non reactive to dogs and cats so far. The shelter is asking for help for this handsome young man who came in scared to be pet and nervous in his kennel, but is finally warming up to some staff. He now allows petting on his face and under his chin which we have video of. We are calling him 'Mr Chow', and were also given nice videos of him non reactive to other dogs passing by him, and even non reactive to cats he passed right by who hissed at him. With people, Mr Chow is a bit aloof and seems to be more interested in looking for a way out of the kennel or the playyard, but who can blame him in a scary shelter environment, locked up. Mr Chow is estimated to be 3.75 but hasn't been fully examined but is on the very thin side. He is matted and needs a good grooming, moves around well. Seems to be average size but has longer legs and may have another breed in him too. Because the shelter has not made him adoptable and may not, we need a rescue to save Mr Chow. However, most rescues need a foster and a place for a dog to go. We therefore need a chow savvy foster besides a rescue!
