Has been exposed to male and female dogs from 5 pounds to 45 pounds. Always very happy and curious and wants to be friends with everyone he meets. Good with corrections from other dogs when he's been sniffing for too long. Good with Cats: Unknown; but so friendly with all dogs and very curious is the same way with cats he saw at the veterinarian's office. Concerns: Marking; but easily wears belly band. BIOGRAPHY: Meet 'Cicero' aka 'Chickpea' aka 'Peter Pan' Quickly named 'Cicero' on intake, his foster parents learned his personality is very friendly and outgoing, so they've been calling him Chickpea and Peter Pan too! Bottom line is that he doesn't care what you call him. He comes to anything. The vet suggested this little guy is a Yorkshire Terrier mix about three years old. When he was found, he was very thin and his foster parents have been feeding him Blue Buffalo puppy kibble twice a day, all he can eat, to bring his weight up. He doesn't gorge and he isn't a huge fan of dog treats. He'll take some small, soft treats; but he does love American cheese (yay, cheesy time!) and a small dollop of whipped cream. This little guy absolutely loves his walks. Keeping with his finer taste in treats, he likes to stick to the pavement if it has snowed or rained. He should absolutely go with a family that is interested in making sure he gets solid leash walkies daily which include lots of opportunities for sniffing too. This guy wears a belly band when he's indoors as when he first arrived, he marked a lot. The belly band makes the marking a complete nonissue as he willingly wears them and allows you to put them on and take them off easily. There are four other male dogs in his foster home and came into rescue unneutered. We think that since he's been neutered, given time and consistent schedule, marking will become less and less of an issue. Cicero is neutered, has first rounds of vaccinations including: DAPP, Rabies, Leptospirosis, Lyme and Bordetella, and newly microchipped. He is also Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia negative. He was given a dose of Simparica Trio and a dose of Drontal Plus and Credelio and is available for an adoption fee of $400.00.
