About Josie

Hello! My name is Josie! I'm a 3-year-old shepherd/retriever/lab mix, and I am very much the sum of my parts. I was someone's trained inside princess, but one day I found myself pregnant and alone on the freezing streets of North LA, looking for handouts, until animal control picked me up. I know, sounds like a start to a bad reality show. But not to worry, because now I am spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find my forever family! I am a PERFECT indoor lady. I will not accidentally knock ANYthing over, not even a boisterous toddler, and I won't chew anything unless you give it to me. I love walking, running, and fetch! I'm not food aggressive and my foster toddlers take my favorite tennis ball right out of my teeth, so I'm good at sharing too! If you take me outside, I love my leash and chasing squirrels, but as soon as we step indoors I instantly become a gentle lap dog ready for a night of couchpotatoing and Netflix. I'm a great copilot (road trips are always better with your bestie!) and so perfectly behaved that they even let me into hooman establishments, with my hooman of course.
