About Colby

Colby is an amazing Border Collie boy! He is between 10 months and a year old, and he has all the intelligence and energy exemplifying his breed. This boy is SMART! Colby's ideal forever home would be with an active family. He requires a fenced yard for exercise and needs a doggy brother or sister to be his best self. He is well behaved in a fenced yard, and he is also good on leash with just a bit of puppy pulling on his way home from a walk. Colby's foster mom has taught him 'touch, sit, let's go, come, up, kennel up, and toy' commands. He is still a puppy with lots of energy, so he is still learning the ropes. He responds well to an 'eh-eh' sound to stop him when he's doing something you want him to stop (like chewing something besides food and toys), and he is potty trained and having no accidents so long as he gets at least 3 potty breaks outside. This baby boy was VERY scared and shy when rescued, but he has learned to trust most people. He is still hesitant when meeting new people, especially younger men. He does best with women and older adults, but can be fine with slow/calm introductions.
