About Dexter

01/12/2025 located in Bonney Lake, wa. Please meet Dexter a 3 year old German Shephard mix. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.I am looking for a forever home for him. We got him from my minor sons dad when he could not keep him, we are seperated. He has had training and is good on leash. He knows tricks and is a home dog. I am not able to give him the attention he needs anymore kids are off to college and I work long hours with a huge commute. He is potty trained. He needs a home that will take him on adventures and snuggle with him. He mostly is an indoor dog. He does not do well with cats or small children only because he gets excited. I have had him around my neices ages 2 to 10 and with slow introductions he calms down. He does have a bit of food aggression not with his food but if he steals a treat of some sort. I have had him around other dogs and besides the first excitement he does well in the house with them. He is perfect at dog parks it's only in his environment there needs to be slow introductions and then he is fine. He is still puppy in a sense he gets excited but he knows place command, which we use if he needs to calm down and I can show you. He does occasionally use an ecollar which I will provide and responds great when wearing. Please let me know if you are interested.
