About Howie

It's with a heavy heart that we're looking to rehome our wonderful puppy, Howie. When we adopted him from the shelter a few months ago, we didn't know his breed and thought he'd grow to be a smaller dog. As it turns out, Howie is a Treeing Walker Coonhound and has grown into a bigger dog than we can manage. This decision is purely about finding the right fit for him; Howie himself is an amazing companion and deserves a home where he can truly thrive. Howie is 5 months old, up to date on all vaccinations and medications, and is both housetrained (With potty bells!) and crate-trained-he sleeps through the night like a champ! He's completed puppy school and knows commands like Place, Sit, Down, Stay, Fetch, Drop It, Leave It, Here and Focus, among others. He's playful and loves to run and explore, but he's equally happy to cuddle on the couch. He's wonderful with cats and people, and his friendly, loving nature makes him a joy to be around.
