About Bass

Hello. We have 2, 3 year old border collies. We paid $550 for each of them from a registered breeder in Venetia Oregon. We bought for our children as pets and also so the could be shown in 4H. Almost immediately after bringing them home, we ended up selling our small farm and moving to a city lot in Montana. These are obvious working dogs and are not doing well in the city with no place to run, or work. One of them bolts out the door and will not come back or listen, he is trying to get into our neighbors chickens and rabbits. The he other one is very well mannered and listens very well. Lately they have been getting into our chicken coop and killing our chickens. I cannot keep these dogs anymore. Eventually they will get out and kill a neighbors pet or show animal and we will be in trouble. I cannot keep these dogs anymore. I am being faced with putting them down or trying to find a home for them. They are really good with my 2 younger girls, and listen well when inside, it's outside that I can't get the one dog to listen. They live with 5 cats and have not hurt them yet, but and been seen nipping at them. So far they have killed 5 chickens and a duck. They are very aggressive towards other dogs. Any help is much appreciated!! I am not looking to get any money for them. I just need them gone and really don't want to put them to sleep. It's a bad situation.
