Onyx A735201 3 Year Old Male Staffordshire Terrier Mix: Helping The Shy Guy Loosen Up After Being Taken To The Shelter Onyx arrived to the shelter on 1/4/25 after Los Alamitos Police Department found him early in the morning alone near Coyote Creek off Cerritos Ave. Onyx was very nervous & scared once he left the squad car and placed into a kennel, weary of interactions with staff & sensitive to any form of touch/contact. They say 'the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach' but the saying for most shelter dogs is 'the fastest way to a dog's heart is a few other dogs' ;) Onyx is another great example of how a shy/nervous dog quickly became more comfortable and loosened up after a few sniffs & tail wags with another dog :) Onyx is still a little #WorseForWear missing some chunks of fur from fleas & a poor diet, but should have a nive coat to show off in no time. With no owner ever showing up to save Onyx he is now available for adoption or rescue & could use a nice quiet place to settle in to! HI!
