Kitty Poppins is spunky and affectionate, sometimes too smart for her own good. Before she was rescued by Purr Partners Feline Rescue, she was in a bad situation where she wasn't treated well, and she is still slow to trust new people. But she is naturally confident and outgoing, and in time, she became comfortable with her foster humans, and now she likes to be where she can see all the action. Kitty Poppins isn't a lap cat and doesn't like to be picked up, but when she's done playing, she loves to cuddle next to people she trusts and may try to lick their faces. She enjoys sleeping in bed with people at night. But for all that, Poppins is a cat's cat. She just lights up when another friendly cat enters the room, and she is much more affectionate with cats than with humans. She has uncommonly good inter-cat social skills for a kitten her age. Kitty Poppins is active and playful, but prefers wrestling and cat chasing games to toys, and rarely responds to human attempts to play. She is absolutely obsessed with hunting shadows and spends the late afternoon *ekking* at eflections on the wall from cars going past outside the window. Despite her tendency to chase your shadow as you walk through the house, she is determined and clever and is the sort who will figure out how to get into anything that doesn't require opposable thumbs. Do you have an active cat who is lonely and needs a friend? Poppins is likely a good choice for that role, and will reward you with cuddles and affection sometimes, too. Poppins is fine in a noisy household with older children who know not to lunge, reach, or grab at her. She hasn't met any dogs, but cats with her personality usually do fine with friendly dogs. Not recommended for a home with young children or children who will make sudden moves or try to pick her up.
