About Mel

'Hi, my name is Mel. I'm an 8 year old Pomeranian, and I'm absolutely handsome and adorable. The only thing i know is that I was confiscated, most likely, my owner died. As you can see, I'm well fed weighing in at 19 lbs initially. Presently, 17 lbs. Diet and exercise works!! I presented with a small tumor on my left gum area. The lump was removed and came back negative for mouth cancer. So, now I'm up for adoption. If you pick me you'd be so lucky. I just adore being with my human. I get along with other dogs. But my human is the one I love the most'. We believe Mel was a very spoiled dog as it's all about him. He wants your complete attention given to him. He does have a collapsing trachea and has some occasional coughing spells but is doing way better with some medicine. Mostly, he has attacks during times of excitement, like feeding time. He does great going walking and we use a harness so it doesn't trigger a coughing spell. If you just want to have a sweet senior love bug, this is your guy. Mel can be a little particular about handling but overall is a very well mannered boy and is leash, house and crate trained.
