Hamilton was pulled from a high kill shelter not that long ago. He is the biggest goof-ball and he smiles when he's happy. He is about 1 year old and still underweight, having come to our rescue pretty emaciated. Sitting at under 90 lbs, he should be more like 120 or more. Hamilton is very friendly and loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He just recently underwent cherry eye surgery and it hasnt slowed him down any. Hamilton gets along with the resident cats and puppies as well as the adult dogs. He arrived with no idea how to play with other dogs or how to act in a house. Other than one potty accident on his first day, he has not had any issues since and will whine when he has to go out. Honestly, he loves being outside in this cooler weather, so he whines to go outside to play quite a bit, lol. My dogs are teaching him how to be less clumsy when he plays. Hamilton is very good in the car as well, sitting down patiently and just looking out the window. Hamilton is looking for an indoor home only, no exceptions. He is very well mannered in the house and he is very quick to pick up on what is expected of him. He is very athletic as well, despite his lazy attitude, and he can jump a standard height baby gate. As you can tell, Hamilton is a favorite around here and we want the best possible home for him. Saint Bernard or big dog experience would be ideal. He is HW neg and on preventatives and has an updated DaPP, bordetella, rabies, and is sporting a brand new microchip. We require an application and a vet check for our adoptions. Out of state adopters will need a Health Certificate and transport costs, not included in the adoption fee.
