About Meekah

This is Meekah. I love her with my whole heart and this hurts to post. I rescued Meekah when she was 3 months old. She was found in a field with 2 scars on her side but not sure where they came from. Meekah is very skiddish to those that she does not know but once you are a part of her 'pack' she is very loving. She has been with me and my family (2 young kids and 1 dog) for the past year and a half. She loves the kids but growls when the other dog lays next to her on the couch. The reason why I'm posting this is she was asleep and my youngest tried to snuggle with her. She woke up and bit him under his eye. I think she thought her dog brother was messing with her and had never done this before. However, she has shown aggression in the past to strangers (adults and kids and other dogs.) Meekah is crate and house trained, walks great on a leash, loves belly rubs. She is very fast and we recently started agility training. She comes on command and is very smart. She has a a lot of stamina and loves to play but will match your energy level. If you want to play, she will play. If you want to relax, she will relax. She is not much of a chewer but loves to play fetch. I think Meekah would probably do best in a home that doesn't have any other pets or really young kids. Once she is comfortable she is very loving, but it takes time for her to trust.
