About SOCKS

Socks is the most incredible, smart, sweet, fun, energetic, handsome, and awesome boy! He is potty trained, crate trained, knows several commands and is exceptionally intelligent and obedient. He is current on vaccines and heartworm preventative. He will be old enough to be neutered within the next several months. Socks was abandoned in our community when he was approximately 4-6 weeks old. He is now approximately 6 months old. We are uncertain as to his specific mix of breed but most likely Border Collie, American Staffordshire, possibly some Labrador Retriever. My husband and I are animal lovers for sure. We are 54 years old and we have 3 doggos ages 11, 7, and 5 as well as a 3 yr old kitty. I don't have the greatest health, including joint and balance issues. Socks is an exceptionally good boy, but he IS a puppy with all that puppy energy, which doesn't exactly fit well with our older dogs. He is very social...loves people and other dogs. He would do great in an active family with a large yard. We are looking for the perfect family for him. Active, energetic, one that will include him in their activities and daily lives. We have set a high adoption fee of $300 to ensure that the person/family interested in adopting him is serious about the long-term commitment (potentially 14-16 years) and care. Serious applicants only please. Each applicant will be thoroughly vetted which will include a home/yard inspection, contact with your vet if you have existing pets, etc.
