Please meet Buddy. HE IS A HEALTHY YOUNG VIRGINIAN BULLDOG (AMERICAN AND ENGLISH BULLDOG MIXED) BORN MAY 25, 2023 WEIGHING 70+ LBS WHO IS IN NEED OF A FOREVER LOVING HOME... His current owner has had him since a puppy and is heart broken but is going for her third spinal surgery and he is highly energetic and strong, and she cannot give him the care that he needs with her health condition. Although he is very strong and big he is also a big teddy bear very loving and affectionate and loves to give kisses. He lives in a home with two other female dogs and gets along with them just fine, but has never been around any other dogs so whether he gets along with other dogs is unknown at the present time. I would also say that he probably does not get along with cats. He is great with all people an. My biggest addiction is empathy, and it's very hard for me to turn my back on a dog. I've been trying to curtail rescuing, because I was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. I actually had surgery September 4th and was in the hospital for 2 months due to complications and infections. My goal is to make sure that Buddy has finds a final forever loving home. He is highly energetic so would be best for him to go to a home with a big back yard for him to be able to run and play. He is also kennel trained. My goal is to make sure I get Buddy the home that he needs and deserves with someone who will love him and give him all the care and attention and affection that he deserves for the rest of his life and be able to be committed to him physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. The best thing I could possibly do for him is to find him a forever loving home. I have made the commitment to Buddy and to his previous owners to make sure I find him the opportunity to find the right home he needs and deserves. My promise to him now is to make sure I find him the best forever home with one who will love him for the many years he has ahead ....an individual or family who will continue to let us know how wonderfully he is doing. Buddy will be your best friend. Will you be his?? I am looking to find the perfect person/couple/family that will give him as much as he deserves. He is neutered and microchipped (AND MICROCHIP WILL REMAIN IN MY NAME INDEFINITELY...CAN EXPLAIN WHEN WE SPEAK), heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention & if u adopt him you MUST keep him on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
