Courtesy Posting: EMERGENCY- TIJUANA, MEXICO (JUST SOUTH OF S CAL BORDER, but CAN BE BROUGHT TO U.S. IF WE FIND A HOME OR FOSTER) - 2 FRIENDLY GOLDEN RETRIEVER/CHOW LOOKING MIXES 'OSO' AND 'CANELO' DUMPED ON STREET FOR SOME TIME. FINDER HAS AT HER HOME NOW AND VERY SWEET, CAN TAKE TO VET FOR SHOTS AND EXAM, BUT CANNOT HOLD LONG and does not want to return them to the streets of TJ- WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF FOSTERS OR A HOME FOR EACH OR TOGETHER (they get along well, but can be separated if you can only take one)- CAN ANYONE OPEN THEIR HOMES OR OFFER HELP OR DONATE TO VETTING??? RESCUES NEED A FOSTER TOO TO BE ABLE TO HELP! We were contacted about this dire situation where these two handsome but very neglected male retriever/chow looking mixes were left to fend for themselves on the streets of Tijuana where they have been at risk for starvation or to die some other horrible way. Neighbors said the prior owner dumped these two friendly dogs and they have been sleeping on a sidewalk without shelter from sun or rain for months, with good Samaritans leaving food and water when they could, which was/is not on a regular basis. It is a miracle they have survived this long not being hit by a car, or dying another horrible way. Despite their awful situation, the person/good sam who contacted us was able to pet them, easily touch their mouths, and could get them on leashes. She just took them to her home very temporarily after someone kindly offered to take them to the vet, naming them Oso (the fluffier one) and Canelo. However she needs a place for them to go as she does not want to have to release them back to the street. Please note the good sam cannot hold them long as she has 4 other dogs of her own who are dog aggressive. However, both Oso and Canelo are really sweet, and can be seen even licking one another, and are non reactive to cats so far they have seen up close. We have many other videos and additional pictures we can provide, some which will be posted on facebook. But'|. we need fosters, or homes asap, and or anyone who can offer any help whatsoever. For any rescue to help, they need a foster and place for a dog to go! We already had many rescues tell us this. Again, Oso and Canelo do not have to go together to same foster or home, although that would be ideal if someone can offer a home to or foster both. We can then take the necessary steps to get them across the border if we have a place for them to go. If you can help in any way, please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist with their placement so they the good same cannot hold them long, and we do not want them returned back to the streets of Tijuana where they will likely face certain death eventually. We will also be posting additional pictures, videos updates on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/783968124/posts/10166616036473125/?mibextid=wwXIfr NOTE: to view the photos and videos on their Facebook page, you will need to copy and paste the link into your browser.
