[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Meet Bart - A Velcro Dog Looking for His Forever Person %90%BE%9D%A4%8F Bart is a 6-year-old Lab mix with a heart as big as his love for snuggles. His story is one of resilience and devotion. Bart spent his early years in an animal hoarding situation, confined to a 4 x 8 enclosure. But when he was rescued, he discovered the good life-a world of love, companionship, and cozy spots next to his person. Once he found that, he never wanted to let go. During my husband's battle with cancer, Bart became his emotional support dog and his papa became his emotional support person. Bart was glued to his side day and night. Bart is now searching for his next 'one true love' and a quiet, stable home where he can feel safe and secure. He has grieved for his papa and longs to be with someone whose side he doesn't have to leave. Why Are We Rehoming Bart? This decision is made with love and a heavy heart. Our home has become too chaotic for Bart with a toddler and an elderly family member in the mix. While he's not aggressive at all, his size and strength, combined with his neediness, make it too easy for him to accidentally knock them over. Bart is incredibly affectionate and thrives when he's near his person. He's the perfect companion for someone who needs or appreciates a loyal, loving presence. He's especially well-suited for someone with special needs who values strength and consistency-Bart might just match their energy and bring a sense of calm and connection to their life. He's great with cats, impeccably housebroken, and completed an intensive training program to address his separation anxiety (he was a star student!). Bart knows how to sit (though his adorable wiggly butt doesn't stay completely still), comes when called, and can even be trusted off-leash. What Bart Needs: Bart thrives in a calm environment. He struggles with too much hustle, bustle, or change. Since losing his papa, he's been sad and anxious, and while he doesn't bark or destroy things, he paces and waits when left alone. He's happiest when his person is close, and his affectionate, press-for-comfort nature means he loves to lean against you for reassurance. Bart is looking for a quieter home with someone who works from home, has a calm routine, or simply wants a loyal companion who will adore them unconditionally. If you think you could be Bart's forever person, please reach out. He's ready to give his whole heart to someone who can provide him with the stability and love he craves. Bart is ready to be your Velcro dog, your shadow, and your best friend. %90 %9D%A4%8F
