He is the most goofy, loving boy you'll ever meet. We have had him since he was a puppy and he's been such a blessing. Porter is 8 years old, but acts like he's 4. He's extremely playful and loves a ball. He knows a lot of commands and was crate trained as a puppy so he roams around the house while we're gone and does great. He barks only when he sees dogs and doesn't chew. He loves his dog bed and has never been allowed on any beds in the house including at night. He listens well and loves to be outside. He lived in the city with me for years and we had a hard time. He is meant to be somewhere with space. My moms backyard has been a game changer for him. He requires prescription food for his sensitive belly, but is a healthy boy with no issues nor requires any medications. Porter's quirk is that he's leash reactive and we want someone who is aware of what that is and how to handle it. I have learned a lot as when I took him I had no idea what that entailed. He reacts aggressively when on leash or behind a fence/window and sees other dogs. He cannot be in close proximity. He means no harm, he actually just wants to approach the dog but when feels limited he will growl and lunge. There's certain tips and tricks I've learned to make it tolerable in a populated area. This is why we want him in more of a quiet neighborhood where he feels more at ease and it doesn't happen as often nor as intensely. Off leash, he loves dogs. He's always done well at boarding, daycare, and the dog beach. We want the best for porter as he just has the most gentle and sweet personality. He will attach to whomever takes him as he loves because close and around people. He wants all the love, kisses, and snuggles. He's like a little human.
