About SUEDE

Most of your questions are answered in this narrative.. if you read everything, & you think that you might fit the bill after reading what's written here, please feel free to call me. Please meet Suede. SHE IS A HEALTHY YOUNG 41 LB 'RESCUE' FROM THE STREETS OF MIAMI WHO IS IN NEED OF A FOREVER LOVING HOME... she is estimated to be probably no more than 1 year old, if even that maybe closer to 8 months or so . She looks much smaller than her weight because she appears to be small, but she is stocky and bulky . She mostly resembles an American Staffordshire Terrier in her appearance. She has the prettiest color, hence her name Suede because that's what she looks like. I really should have named her 'Sweetie', because she is so incredibly sweet. My biggest addiction is empathy, and it's very hard for me to turn my back on a dog. I've been trying to curtail rescuing, because I was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. I actually had surgery September 4th and was in the hospital for 2 months due to complications and infections. I was driving, and she was running in the street in a low income neighborhood, and I got out of the car, and she came right to me wagging her tail and jumped up on me . I could not leave her there where she would wind up probably getting hit by a car. I came to find out that Miami-Dade Animal Svcs was actually there shortly before to take her, because apparently the owners were not taking care of her and were letting her out all the time, and they had been warned . My goal is to make sure that Suede has a better future. She is a lap dog and is very starving and needy of affection and attention. She is extremely loving. She walks well on a leash. She is still a puppy and because of her not having good supervision with a family prior, we are working on her potty training, as she has had a couple of accidents, but she is learning, so we do want to find somebody who is patient with her. She seems to do well with all other dogs, but I would not attest to her getting along with cats, as she is extremely 'curious', for a lack of better words. All she wants is to be loved, and she is extremely affectionate. She has a sweet, loving disposition. She does like to cuddle up with you and relax. She would be absolutely wonderful in a household with children. She is great with kids. My goal is to make sure I get Suede the home that she needs and deserves with someone who will love her and give her all the care and attention and affection that she deserves for the rest of her life and be able to be committed to her physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. I really wish I could keep her, because I feel like we are soulmates, but I have seven dogs already and with my diagnosis, the best thing I could possibly do for her is the next best thing, which is to find her a forever loving home. I have made the commitment to Suede to make sure I find her the opportunity to find the right home she needs and deserves. My promise to her now is to make sure I find her the best forever home with one who will love her for the many years she has ahead ....an individual or family who will continue to let me know how wonderfully she is doing. Suede will be your best friend. Will you be hers?? I am looking to find the perfect person/couple/family that will give her as much as she deserves. She is spayed and microchipped (AND MICROCHIP WILL REMAIN IN MY NAME INDEFINITELY...CAN EXPLAIN WHEN WE SPEAK), heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention & if u adopt her you MUST keep her on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
