About Bluey

This cute gal is Bluey. She is a 4 years old Australian Cattle Dog who weighs about 40 pounds. She needs a new home because a herder this age is a bit much for a senior owner who isn't solid on their feet. This girl is loved and just needs a home with someone who is ready to be active. She will be easy for a home that knows herders. Bluey knows how to sit on command. She also knows 'paw' and is working on 'stay.' She is easy to train and is highly treat motivated. Bluey is also house trained. Like most Cattle Dogs, Bluey will bark when a stranger comes to the door. However, with a polite introduction, she is affectionate to people she knows. Bluey is good with other dogs after a polite introduction. She has lived nicely with a small spaniel. Bluey is good at the local dog park. She likes to explore, but largely ignores other dogs. She isn't interested in playing. Due to this, we the think she will be happy as an only dog or with a dog who doesn't want to play�'�|just hangs out. Bluey sometimes plays with toys. Mostly, she is all about her people. She is a wonderful buddy. Bluey is good on leash and learning not to pull. She enjoys to go on long walks.�%A0She is also good in the car, so is a good dog for travel and adventures. Bluey is a bestie, ready for her forever partner. She is affectionate, lays down for belly rubs, and is into whatever you are into. She will appreciate a home who keeps her active, will do just a bit more training, and then just love her. Bluey is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Huntington Beach, CA, and ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
