About Forest

Forest (Duke)Yoda! 1 yr old, 43 lb handsome, sweet boy. Lucky many saw him living in the woods around Duke Forest & seemed very frightened. He had dragged a baby blanket to his 'nest'. The best boy for the shelter team for vaccines & neg. heartworm test. Forest is warming up to indoor life! He is loving being petted as he learns he is safe. We are working on house training. He gave us his first tail wags when he met kitty. He seems to know some commands, like 'come' & 'wait'. Forest snores when he sleeps, gives kisses, & nudges you for more pets when you take a break. He is a shadow at your heels, is polite on leash. Forest pulled on leash for the first time when he saw kids on a playground , pranced toward them, whimpering with excitement! He's a bit jumpy still with loud noises & sudden movements, but we think he was in a home w/ kids.
