Courtesy Posting: X URGENT! - FONTANA, CA (S CAL- SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY) - OWNER BECAME HOMELESS, AND HOMELESS SHELTER DOESN'T ALLOW DOGS. Sweet senior chow girl is Shelter bound in less than a week, who can help? VERY AFFECTIONATE, SENIOR 'STELLA' NEEDS PLACEMENT ASAP! LOVING AND KID FRIENDLY, 12 YR but still active, FEMALE CHOW- ADOPTER OR FOSTER (or even a Temp foster) AND/OR RESCUE NEEDED ASAP - GOOD W/ OTHER DOGS Help! We were contacted by an owner who adores Stella who is now 12 years young, but the family has sadly lost their home. With a young child in it, they need to go to a shelter themselves, but the shelter does not allow dogs. Ideally and originally, the owner wanted to keep Stella and find a temporary foster for her, but they are now willing to rehome and do whatever is best, as they only have a few days and do not want to take her to a local animal shelter where she will have little chance. Shelters in this area have high euthanasia rates. Stella has lived her entire life with this family and as an indoor dog. Her owner tells us Stella loves people, and provided us a nice video of Stella affectionately giving kisses to their younger child. They said she also loves male dogs, and likes female dogs that aren't trying to intimidate her. We understand Stella has been socialized at local dog parks and she is walked regularly several times a day. Stella is potty trained and goes outside about three times a day. She is spayed, has no reported medical or mobility issues and we will post video showing she is still doing well at her age and gets around great per her owner. Stella has been vaccinated for rabies which is due soon and will also need to be brought current on other vaccinations thoogh. Again, the owner does not want to take Stella to the shelter where she may be at risk for euthanasia. However, we need to find placement asap or even a temporary foster asap. The owner is happy to stay in contact with a new home if this is allowed by a new home. Please help us find a good home and or foster and rescue so Stella can live out her golden years. Please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement asap so she does not end up at the shelter and or euthanized. We have additional pictures and video of Stella we can share via text or on Facebook at: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10166600932708125&id=783968124&mibextid=wwXIfr Note: to view contents of links you will need to copy and paste it into your browser.
