Halo is a very sweet girl. She is a shepherd/lab mix who is 5-7 years old. She was rescued in Oklahoma after being found in a ditch by one of our volunteers and nursed back to life. She currently weighs 68lbs so we have been working to be active to help her get back to her ideal weight. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She loves to be with her people and cuddle on the couch. She also loves to walk and hike and play with toys. She will be as active or lazy as you like, she takes her cues from you. She would be best with people who are around more than not or who have flexibility to bring her with you. It would be great to have a fenced in yard, but not necessary. She could easily be an apartment dog with how low maintenance she is. She likes to play with other dogs, but can be dominant. She learns what level to play at when corrected over time, but would be best with a submissive sibling or an only dog. She is fast, gets along with cats, is a good eater, does well in a crate, good in the car, sleeps on her dog bed all night, rarely barks, has been left alone in the house with no issues, good at the vet, good with large groups of people and small children. If you are looking for a very loving, very low maintenance pup with lots of life left, Halo (or JLo as we call her) is the dog for you. She is being fostered in MA. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family and $100 transport fee which is HALF of what we paid to transport her from Oklahoma to New England.
