I'm in search of a special adopter for my Leashes of Love Rescue foster dog, PJ! He is a 3 year old mutt (Wisdom Panel says 13 breeds!) who weighs 30 lbs and is neutered, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His ideal adopter(s) will work from home, have a yard, have dog experience but not currently have a dog, and will be happy to continue with training. More about PJ: He's an athletic boy who enjoys playing fetch & tug. He also loves his food & treats - especially when there's a game involved like find the treat in the other room, in a puzzle toy, or by pressing a button to release kibble from a slow feeder. When he's done playing & eating, he curls up under a blanket near you and snoozes the day away. He wants to be with you 24/7 and is very watchful and alert. He'll let you know when a package arrives and needs extra assurance on garbage day that the garbage truck is not his enemy. He's observant and learns quickly! He has a strong prey drive - especially with birds. A crow flying out of a tree at the park will consume his attention for sure! Squirrels, rabbits, and gophers are very interesting to him and must be investigated. He is anxious in new situations and will bark to alert you about any person or dog within a short distance. It will take 1-2 minutes for him to relax when a new person visits your house. He's shy going to the bathroom and won't go when there are distractions which is why a yard would be ideal.
