Gary came to us from AZ Humane where he was at risk due to some pretty severe ortho issues. He is a very shy/under-socialized guy and still prefers not to be held or carried but will tolerate it and has not tried to bite (just avoidant). He was recently evaluated by a surgical specialist who believes the best course of action at this time is to have him fitted with a brace or braces for his legs. One of his front leg has a broken carpus (ankle) and the other has some nerve damage. Despite his challenges he actually can move pretty fast and loves to play. He does pretty well crated for short periods and is picking up the potty routine at his foster home. We are hoping to find him a foster to adopt home in the Tucson area and someone with the time to work with him on his socialization and also bring him to appointments with the vet and mobility specialist enabling involvement in a long term treatment plan. Gary was originally estimated around 3 years but we think he is even younger than that (18-24 mo) as he is a very high energy little guy (7-8 lbs). If you would be interested and able to give Gary a home please submit and application HERE )))) https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application
