Victory is a sweet, loyal and loving dog. I adopted him during the pandemic from a shelter that has since closed. **VICTORY IS NOT SUITED FOR HUNTING AS HE IS GUN SHY AND FEARFUL OF LOUD NOISES** I have worked hard in the last 5 years to train Vic to walk loose leash, and on some tricks and commands. If you're read the book Fedinand the Bull - Victory embodies the sweet nature of Ferdinand. He loves long walks, having a place to bask in the sun, sniffing for treats, and having lots of soft surfaces to lounge in. He is leash reactive toward other dogs (presents as barking, but as a mixed breed the bark can seem aggressive to others). Once he knows a dog he keeps to himself. When I adopted him in 2020 I was his 5th home placement, most other owners returned him because of high energy needs, aggression towards other dogs, or personal reasons like illness. I am confident that with the right owner, activity level, and patience Victory is a dream dog for someone! He has spent time around my elderly (late 60s) parents as well as my (90s) grandparents, young children (as young as 2 through teenagers) with no problems. We also lived in a house with chickens and found that he was more prone to running from the chickens than chasing them. He is protective of his people and will let you know when the UPS/FedEX/ Amazon truck is nearby. Unfortunately I am looking to rehome Victory because I have gotten a new job that requires me to travel extensively and I am not able to give him his best life anymore. I'm hoping to find a home or him that will respect him, give him lots of love activity and play, and give him the best life that he deserves!
