About Helios

Helios is a 2 year old black Sphynx. He's a randy boy with many lovely qualities but for the last year he has been having inappropriate urination issues. He has seen a vet, and will be seeing one again, as well as getting an echo to check for heart issues. He's got quite the personality and refuses to drink out of the water bowl provided but will drink out of cups, sinks, tubs and even the toilet if the lid is left open. We have tried so many different litters and boxes and nothing seems to work. I have 4 children that I have to consider when making this decision and their health and living conditions have to come first. I shampoo my carpets almost daily and shampoo solution is expensive. It has been recommended to try anxiety medication to treat this issue long term but we aren't in a financial position to afford this along with everything else.
