About Diva

Diva is being adopted due to a move for work. Diva is a beautiful long-haired Torti, her photo doesn't do her justice. Her name is correct, she is a Diva. Think of her as a long-haired, dark Calico, with all the good and bad personality traits. She can be talkative, and will scream when being harassed by her feline housemates. She would do well with other cats with a calm demeaner. She is picky on being handled, and would prefer to lay near you, where you can pet her and scratch her forehead. She loves to be brushed, and should be brushed several times a week. She is a small cat, barely 8 lbs. She was rescued from the streets and would love to be outside again, which I don't allow. She is very fast and will dart outside in a blink ! She occasionally will help make the bed, but loves to snuggle under the blankets with you, on her time. She is still playful, and loves to chase feathers on a string, enjoys catnip and other common cat toys. You will see the results of her nocturnal activity in the morning, where the toys have been moved. She has been exposed to dogs, in the house, and adapted quickly, after a proper introduction. She has not been exposed to children, and due to her small size, I would not recommend young children be unsupervised until it has been determined on his behavior / interaction with the child. She is currently on a homemade diet, consisting of chicken, eggs, tuna, fruits and veggies, plus necessary supplements to meet AAFCO nutritional guidelines. The new owner would not be required to keep her on this diet, as long as her new diet provided ample water during consumption. Diva is micro-chipped and current on her shots. Vet references are required, and I will pass along a cat carrier, food bowls and a week's worth of homemade food to ease transition to the diet you will be providing.
