About Ranger

Ranger is being placed for adoption due to a move for work. Ranger is a sweet natured cat, and loves human interaction ! He is in heaven when being petted and scratched, and enjoys a short session with a stiff bristled brush. He loves to help me make the bed, making sure all the necessary wrinkles are in place. He has been raised with 2 other cats, but has become a bit of an occasional bully. He is a big boy, ideal weight is 13 lbs. He is still playful, and loves to chase feathers on a string, enjoys catnip and other common cat toys. He has been exposed to dogs, and with proper introduction would do well with breeds over 30 lbs. This should reduce the occurrence where Ranger thinks he is boss. He has not been exposed to children, and due to his size, I would not recommend young children be unsupervised until it has been determined on his behavior / interaction with the child. He is currently on a homemade diet, consisting of chicken, eggs, tuna, fruits and veggies, plus necessary supplements to meet AAFCO nutritional guidelines. The new owner would not be required to keep him on this diet, as long as his new diet provided ample water during consumption. Ranger loves cooked green beans and peas, and I use this to help fill his tummy, and keep the calories close to 190 a day. Ranger is micro-chipped and current on his shots. Vet references are required, and I will pass along his cat carrier, food bowls and a week's worth of homemade food to ease transition to the diet you will be providing.
