About Sky

This beautiful dog is amazing & she has come a long way since being rescued. She was surrendered by an elderly disabled man who had a big heart for dogs. He had taken in too many off the streets who needed a place to go. Sky was very pregnant & very timid when she came to us over a year ago. She was a loving mama dog. She was then spayed & placed in a nurturing foster home. There, she was able to gain confidence & her personality now shines. Sky is 2 and a half years old & she weighs approx 55 lbs. She's a beautiful mix of several breeds. She's estimated to have Black Mouth Cur & Boxer in her mix. She has a soft, healthy coat & a blue eye & a brown eye. She's vaccinated, spayed, microchipped & current on monthly preventions. She's kennel trained & housetrained. She'll jingle the bell on the door to ask to go outside.���� Sky gets along with & is respectful of cats, small dogs, & other small animals. She will show interest but will easily back off & give space when growled or hissed at or told to 'leave it,' She's playful with other dogs her size once she gets to know them. She's observant & she loves sitting where she can watch stuff happen around her. She's not a big barker. She also loves collecting toys & bedding for her kennel.�ٴ� (Sometimes, she is more motivated by gifts of toys or bedding than treats. Adorable!) She's very shy. The fastest way to get her to warm up to you is offering little gifts & going on walks together. She's very well-behaved on a leash & LOVES going for walks.
