I'm looking to rehome my 10-year-old standard schnauzer. This hasn't been an easy decision, but I want to ensure he can spend his retirement years in a loving home with people who will care for him and treat him well. He's a very good dog-loyal and affectionate once he warms up to you, but it takes time for him to adjust to new people. Our family hasn't personally had issues with him, but he has been labeled as aggressive by the vet and doesn't tolerate being restrained, which is something to consider. With patience and positive reinforcement, he can form strong bonds-he's done so with family members over time. I'm moving out of my dad's house soon and won't be able to take him with me. If you or someone you know might be able to provide him with the care and patience he needs, please reach out. Thank you for reading and for any help you can offer!
