About Mouse

We found Mouse in the woods near my home a few weeks ago. He is a gorgeous cat that had clearly been on his own for a while, had a wound on his mouth and was underweight. He's been checked by my vet, is not microchipped and is now doing great. I posted him on every lost and found available with no response and I'm now looking for a special home for him. I have an elderly cat with health issues that is upset by his presence or I would otherwise keep him. He was quarantined for 2 weeks and has now been introduced to my other cats, who he has only a slight interest in and otherwise just does his own thing. I'm not sure how he would be with other cats on a permanent basis but he's definitely not aggressive. He's been exposed to adults and family through the holidays with no issues but I have no knowledge of what he would be like with children or dogs. It seems he would do well with or without other animals but definitely wants people around. Other than being neutered and a quick vet check I have no knowledge of his vaccination history. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this cat is! He wants human attention, loves to sit on your lap or cuddle right next to you, and purrs the moment you walk in the room. I will only release him to a family that is committed to keeping him indoors, particularly after his experience, and one with vet references.
