About Binx

Pit Bull mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

I was wondering if you are taking any dogs at the moment. I've been trying to rehome our 5 yr old pitbull for the last 8 months. She has high energy and doesn't know her own strength, along with aggression when crating her and trying to leave the house (she has separation anxiety). She had bitten my hand twice (2 separate times) trying to leave the house but only where I had a little scratch. She has bitten my husbands hand 2 or 3 times and this last time was 2 days ago and it was pretty bad. He walked outside and when he heard her barking he went to let her out with him and she grabbed a hold of his left hand and left 4 decent size puncture wounds. He did go to the hospital yesterday for it and it is infected so he's now on antibiotics for it. We do have a two-year-old son and a 2 month old daughter. Unfortunately, our pitbull does not get along with our two-year-old very well to where I cannot trust them together in the same room. We are in desperate need to put her in a shelter ASAP cause I can't have her here in our home with two young children. I understand with a bite history it's hard to put her anywhere :( Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. My husband and I have had the conversation about behavioral euthanasia but he is not for it. I don't want to put her down at all but I've called almost everywhere and nobody will take her. Other than the separation anxiety and aggression when leaving the house and crating, she is a good dog.
