About Bellum

Belgian Malinois
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Bellum is typical for a Malinois, we're told. She is obsessed with chewing sticks and balls or whatever. She can be aggressive with pushing balls or sticks at people when she wants to play (which is most of the time), so I do not trust her around small children. She was crate-trained as a pup, but we don't keep her in a crate at home. She has enough behavioral issues that we do not allow her into the main part of our house. Our dog sitters says she does fine in a crate at their home. We have a large fenced area where she runs free. She has a reputation as an escape artist so fencing has to be very good (and high). We walk her off leash on our property. She is good with recall. She does come in contact with some neighborhood dogs and has never been aggressive toward any of them. Long back story on why we have this dog, but the bottom line is we are not dog people and cannot handle her. A professional trainer and our dog-sitters say she is manageable, but apparently not by us! We have had her for over two years and just can't keep her any longer. Please rescue her or else we may need to put her down.
