About Maddie & Blue Sisters!

Do you have a quiet home? Do you adore and understand kitties? Do you like the plush, longer-haired kitties? Maddy and Blue are a pair of wonderful, beautiful, sweet sisters with grumpy-cat faces. They have so much love to share, they will need some time to warm up in a new environment, about 1 to 2 weeks. They are very endearing and loving. They seek lovey time with people once comfortable. They will come to sit near you and will venture into your lap, or partially into your lap once comfortable. They just need time to know you truly care for them. This is a huge change for the girls. They both enjoy being brushed, being talked to, and of course getting rubbies. Maddy, 13.50# Maine Coon calico tabby is the social butterfly, and Blue, 11.50# British Short hair is reserved, and quite bonded to Maddy. Blue waits until Maddy accepts you, then she blossoms. Maddy is diabetic, has limited vision and will need insulin daily and a special diabetic food which is available on Chewy.com or Amazon. Maddie goes upstairs and jumps onto things that are not high. She can manage a lower cat tower, or a tower with a ramp, and the couch well. We are hoping with the correct diet that she may not need insulin forever. The foster Mom gives her the insulin while she is eating, and Maddie doesn't even flinch. It is a tiny needle, that is painless. Our vet taught our foster in 10 minutes and had her practice a few times. Rosanna had never given a kitty insulin before, and it was that easy. The girls came to the rescue due to their elderly mom passing away after a long illness. They have never been apart since birth and need to be adopted as a bonded pair. The girls like hooded beds to sleep in. They like exploring crinkle tunnels, checking out the windows, watching nature, the couch, and site seeing in the house. They are approximately 5.5 years old, spayed, vaccines are current, do not like dogs, no bad habits and micro-chipped, which is an added perk adopting from Snow Camp! The rescue offers a 2-week adoption trial. If you feel the girls not a good fit for you, the rescue will take them back. A no risk adoption! Maddie and Blue's adoption fee is $150 each, take $25 off each if you submit your application by 1/15/25. Helping a special needs kitty is very rewarding.
