Penelope aka Penny or Pen Pen, was found in our neighborhood one evening running down the road. We took her in and had her scanned, she is chipped and the listed owner stated they did not have a dog. We listed her on Nextdoor and Pawboost, we had little interest, she was extremely obese at the time we took her in and was not aggressive toward our dog as he is very loving and accepting of other dogs. We met a potential adopter at a dog park and they had a friend bring a small female dog with them. That dog snapped at Penny and Penny reacted with a very quick 'oh hell no you didn't' bottom line probably not a good idea with other females or aggressive dogs. Penny is very protective of me and is a jealous dog. She would be an excellent companion for a woman or man but seems to prefer women. I can not continue to keep her because of personal issues. My dog is a service dog and I do not have the time to devote to her for more training and the exercise she needs.I want her to have a good and loving home. She loves to go for rides and walks. I would be happy to share insights with serious inquiries only. She is a good dog that wants to please and protect those she cares for. I believe it would be best for her to be the only dog in a household with older children that know how to properly treat a dog.
