Meet Toof - A Sweet and Shy 3 year old Morkie Looking for Her Forever Home! Toof is a lovable little 9lb Morkie with a heart of gold, though she's had a rough start in life. She was found abandoned and arrived at the shelter so terrified that she had to be sedated just to shave down her severely matted fur. While we don't know the details of her past, it's clear she's been through some difficult times, and her experiences have left her cautious and understandably wary of fast movements and sudden approaches. Toof needs a patient, understanding adopter who can offer her the gentle environment she deserves. While she may snap in moments of fear, her little 'snaps' are just gentle warnings, not aggression. She's best suited for a home with no children under 13, as fast movements and loud noises can startle her. Her foster mom reports that, once she's comfortable, Toof is a total lovebug! She's happiest snuggling up on the couch for a Netflix binge, and she'll happily curl up for a quiet, relaxing day. She does bark in her crate but usually settles down quickly once she feels safe. Toof doesn't get along with cats and should go to a home without them, but she gets along wonderfully with her foster sister, Bella, a sweet French Bulldog. She might be a bit intimidated by larger dogs but is perfectly happy in the company of smaller, more laid-back pups. Toof is trained to use a wee pad and also goes outside! She's shown a remarkable transformation since leaving the shelter - she's calmer, more trusting, and so ready to find the loving, calm home she truly deserves.
