About Milo

Aussie Rescue of the Mid-Atlantic - ARMA is happy to welcome Milo to our program. Milo is available for adoption or foster to adopt. Milo is a sweet typical young male Aussie who needs room to run and play, apartment life is not for him. Milo is a year one year old and is about 40 pounds, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and is on heartworm medicine. He is potty and crate trained. He is described as a high energy dog. He evaluated very well, a very friendly and energetic Aussie. Milo was acquired from an Aussie breeder as a puppy (although he looks like he could be a mix). When the owner acquired him, they had a house with a yard and all is well. They have now lived in an apartment for several months. He has started chewing, barking at the noises of people and cars, and is starting to eat things that he shouldn't. They have had noise complaints at the apartment. The poor guy needs lots of exercise! He does go outside several times a day to potty and they walk 1.5 miles a day. He walks well on a leash, and if people approach, he barks and when they get close, he will happy jump or sit and wait for pets. Milo will need some training. He has started barking at cars. When he sees another dog while on a leash, he barks and when they get close, he sniffs, then tries to play. He wants to play all the time! ��%BCHe used to be good with their cat at the house, but since moving to the apartment, he is playing rougher and nipping the cat. He ignores small kids. At night he sleeps in a crate. He is crated when they are away and as a time out when he does something wrong. ��%BCHe needs an active home with a yard and adopters willing to train him. He loves balls, plays fetch, and loves bones and ripping up, plush toys. ��%BC��%BC He is a very sweet dog and just needs the right environment to be successful.
