Rocky, formerly Goofy, belonged to an elderly lady that was moving to a senior facility that didn't allow animals. We own a dog boarding facility and one of our employees asked if we could help to find him a home. We were able to find an adoptive home pretty quickly and he was adopted in Oct. 2024. A few days before Christmas, the new family said that they needed to bring him back because he charged at their 11 year old daughter and her daughter was now scared of him. What we know about Rocky, formerly Goofy: He is five years old. He is neutered. He is up to date on Bordetella, DHPP and Rabies. He has lived with a cat but the cat didn't like him. He is not good with chickens. He barks and chews the bars in his kennel when he hears other dogs barking, but is indifferent in front of them. He was attacked by another dog at a dog park with the last adoptive placement, but he did not fight back. He is very affectionate. He snores. He is not a picky eater. Taken to vet because he limps sometimes on gravel. Vet says he has typical bulldog issues like needing his paw pads cleaned with clorahexidine wipes to prevent infection and inflammation. Rocky would do best in a home with no children and owners with a calm demeanor. Rocky would be happy to cuddle up on a sofa and chew on bully sticks. He really is a sweet boy and we hope we can help him find his forever home soon!
