About Chiko

Meet Chiko, our beloved 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, whom we adopted when he was roughly 4 months old (we have all the paperwork from the adoption agency). It brings us great pain and sadness to post him for adoption, as we would keep him forever if we could. Unfortunately, he recently bit a child on the leg who entered our home without permission. Since we live on a military installation, we can no longer keep him. Chiko is territorial of his home and protective of his family, which includes my husband, our four sons, and myself. He is the most loyal companion I have ever known. My sincerest prayer is that he will be saved from euthanasia and given a second chance at life, as he is a wonderful dog who has been nothing but loving to our family never showing aggression to any of us. He is house/crate trained, gets along well with other dogs, enjoys walks, camping, playing catch and frisbee, and loves the water. Please get in touch with me anytime. Thank you.
