About Camilla (Camie)

Adoption Fee: $50
Domestic Cat / Siamese
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Camilla or Camie (comes to both) is a short hair femlale Tabby cat whose mother was half Siamese and half Persian. She was the only one of her litter that did not have the blue eyes and Siamese markings, like her siblings did. She is small in statue but definitely not skinny. She has green eyes and typical tabby markings .... She is a full time permanent house cat. She has never been outside other than Vet checkups. She is obviously litter trained and eats wet AND dry cat food. She is healthy and has never had any health problems. She has had vaccinations but it has been 4+ years. This is my mother's cat, whom she has had since Camie was born 8 years ago. She is very distraught at having to re-home Camie, but, since bring another of her cats to her home 2 months ago, of whom has lived with my Mother at my Mother's sisters house for 8 years, for whom she was her sister's caregiver (my Mother's sister is very ill and my Mother is a retired RN) to live at my Mother's house, since my Mother is no longer her sister's caregiver, and Camie is not taking to this other cat who is new to her environment, at all. Camie lives with 3 other cats, a neutered male and two females, and other than being the dominant cat of the group, and occasionally a bully only when it comes to getting my Mother's attention and affection, she gets along with all of them usually. She is very affectionate towards my Mother, constantly wanting to be either on her or right next to her when my Mother is sitting or laying down. My Mother's health has taken a significant setback recently, and she has been devoting her waking hours (and when sleeping when the two cats fight fight) trying to find a solution to these two cats getting along, but nothing has or is working. The new cat to the house is resorting to always having to hide under a couch, because Camie comes at him as soon as she sees him. My Mother is worried about her other cat's safety and well being as he was neutered the same day he moved to my Mother's, which is a new environment (both stressful situations for a cat). His (the newer cat) quality of life is severely affected by this situation. We have no No Kill Shelters near us and she wouldn't take him to any kind of shelter for fear nobody would adopt her. My Mother's heart is being torn in two as she loves Camie and doesn't want her to be re-homed, but doesn't have a choice any longer as the other cat is being physically and emotionally challenged by Camie. She has had the other cat for more years than Camie, and since birth also. So, if anyone can provide a loving and safe home for Camie, will keep her an indoor cat permanently, dog free home, and has the time to very slowly let her accommodate to any other cat in the house (I'm not sure if she would get along with more than 1 cat), please consider adopting Camie. There is one thing my Mother asks, and that is if for whatever reason, whoever adopts her, decides they can not keep her, to return her back home to try for someone else adopting her, and to NOT put her in a shelter as that would be a death sentence to Camie. She also asks if she could be updated occasionally by email on how Camie is doing, and to send a picture of her in her new home once in awhile. My Mother loves Camie, this is just a no win situation for Camie or the new cat in the home as they both are stressed. Thank you.
