About Heidi

Hi my name is Heidi! I came to the shelter in July of 2021. I was found living underneath a bridge tied to a tree. I am super sweet and a very happy girl. I am confident and charismatic. I would love to relax on the couch with you for cuddles or show you my impressive swimming skills! I have grown up in the shelter and as much as I love the volunteers and staff, I desperately want my own forever family! I was recently adopted in July of this year and had the most wonderful owner! I got to spend time with lots of other people and I absolutely adore children! It took me awhile to adjust to having my own home since I have spent 3 years growing up in the shelter! My new owner didn't give up on me and I became a pro at crate/potty training. It was the most wonderful time of my life! Unfortunately, my amazing owner became seriously ill, requiring hospitalization, and I had to come back to the shelter. I am heartbroken and I don't feel like eating or playing much right now. The staff and volunteers are doing everything they can to make me feel better. I'll be turning 5 years old in November and my only birthday wish is to find my forever family or person soon. I walk well on a leash and I love playing in the water. I am treat motivated and prefer male dogs. I love kids and new toys! I do not like cats. I am microchipped, UTD on my vaccines, and spayed. I just know that my forever person or family is out there! Please come by the shelter and meet me!
