Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- West Point, VA Meet Comet! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 70 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Comet is hostile around strangers! He is good with older children and cats! No younger children or dogs, due to his reactivity! Comet bit the owner's neighbor 2.5 years ago after they were antagonizing him in the owner's yard. The neighbor turned to leave and Comet bit him in the back of the leg. On 12/16, both of the owner's dogs ran out the front door and chased the same neighbor's daughter. She was not harmed and the neighbor came out yelling at the owner and the owner's daughters. He picked up his daughter and turned away while continuing to yell. Comet ran up and bit him on the back of the leg. The owner is surrendering him because he is aggressive with strangers and bit their neighbor twice. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Comet, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Comet.
