About Max

MAX is a 9 year old, 7.7 pound Yorkie surrendered to us because his person needed to go into a nursing home and no one in the family could take him. He is the ultimate lap dog! Max is a sweet little guy with a friendly, happy personality. He gives sweet little kisses and will jumps up to sit in a chair with his foster mom. If he is not in the chair, he is nearby napping in a dog bed. Max gets along well with other little dogs but was an only dog before he came to us and either will be fine for him. He has had a couple of accidents as he has settled into his foster home but generally has done very well. He is leash trained but his foster mom feels a fenced yard would be ideal as he does love to go out and sniff and explore the yard. At night Max currently sleeps in a separate room with his foster family's little dog, but in his former home he snuggled up at night with his owner. Max has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, had a dental cleaning and lost some bad teeth, is heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about MAX: He has a good appetite and eats well. He has not been tested with children or cats. We think he would be fine with older children who are familiar with small dogs.
