About Gemma

What A Gem! This precious jewel was listed as a lab/retriever mix. She's approx 1 & 1/2 yrs old. Gemma was seized & taken to an already overcrowded shelter because she was not being adequately cared for by her owners. Her weight upon intake was 35 lbs. But with nutritious food, water & shelter, she has filled out looks healthier. Now she weighs closer to 42 lbs.���S���%8D She's in foster care & she's spreading her wings! She makes friends easily. She has been introduced to many dogs of all sizes & she loves them all. Gemma's personality shines thru in her expressions. She's such a cute pup. And oh, those adorable folded-over ears!���%8D��ե��ե��ե ���� Her original evaluation notes from shelter volunteers reads: Gemma is friendly & has such a pleasant, sweet personality. She takes treats & will sit for them, taking them politely. Gem has a moderate activity level & seems to thoroughly enjoy getting a break from her kennel & from the noise of the other dogs, scouting out all the interesting scents in the yard & stretching her legs. She did her business in the yard. She walks well on a leash. She was more than happy for me to pet her & show her some loving attention. Gem is hoping to find a better home next time around with people who will cherish & love her, giving her what she needs to have a happy & healthy life & providing her plenty of TLC, exercise, playtime & enrichment. And it goes without saying that she wants to live inside with her people in order to be an integral part of the family circle!���z Gemma has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, & microchipped.
