About Puppies

Beagle / Foxhound
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet The Gum Litter !! **Looking for SEPARATE homes** We recently took in this sweet litter and their mom from a local shelter. They are looking for indoor family homes. Their mom (Big Red) will have a separate post once she's recovered from being a momma. They are almost 7 weeks old. They will not be available to move to new homes until they are 8 weeks old. They are Hound mix puppies and should be medium size when full grown. Their mom is about 40 pounds at full weight and dad is unknown. They favor beagles but may grow larger than that. Puppies have been given several sets of vaccines, dewormed, a microchip and spayed/neutered. The Puppies: (Photos are labeled with names) JUICY FRUIT- Female- 4 Pounds- The straggler of the group. Last to do everything. HUBBA BUBBA - Female- 4 pounds - Fairly mellow, likes to be held CHICLET - Female- 4.2 pounds - The explorer, always whining to get on the go ORBIT - Male - 4.2 Pounds- Chill guy with old soul vibes TRIDENT - Male - 3.2 Pounds- Does his own thing, quieter than the rest. STRIDE- Male - 4 pounds- Chill guy but loves to howl and talk BAZOOKA - Male- 4.2 pounds- Mr. Fearless, does everything first, howling, walking, climbing out of the pen etc lol. *** They are still very young and their personalities are likely to change as they develop.*** All the puppies love other dogs and love kids. They have not met any cats yet but are young enough to learn. They are still babies and are not potty trained or leash trained. They have started crate training and do very well HOWEVER they are currently in the crate with their siblings, and it's very likely that there will be some sleepless nights in your home with crate training once they are separated. They have not had any trouble sharing food treats and toys. *** These are NOT APARTMENT DOGS. Beagles/Hounds are very vocal dogs, it is just what they do. They bark and howl and make all the hound noises. They started howling at only 4 weeks old. We do not want a dog or family losing their home over the noise.*** These puppies are currently active, happy, and playful. They have been raised inside and handled often since a very young age. They are very friendly and social. They are also smart and active. They love to explore and play. They are active and will need lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep them happy and out of trouble. Hounds make amazing family pets. They are generally friendly and social. They do have a tendency to escape yards when bored. It is recommended to not leave them outside alone. They were bred to be hunting dogs and may take off over or under a fence to chase a woodland creature around. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family's lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google 'littermate syndrome' so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies. Vet and home checks required. **No apartments due to how vocal they are. Located in Hampton VA. (They will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) '%BC%8FPlease message [email protected] directly with questions or to get an application.'%BC%8F
