PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS: Scout is a friendly Shorthair who is good with other dogs. SCOUT'S STORY: Scout is a distinguished 10-year-old gentleman, weighing in at 64 pounds, with a heart as big as his personality. He's the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, making him an ideal companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving dog. Scout is great with other dogs, happily snuggling or lying right next to them. He respects boundaries and is a polite playmate, though his playstyle leans more towards brief games of chase than roughhousing. Outdoors, Scout has a medium energy level. He enjoys daily walks that are at least a mile long and loves to sniff and explore, making a fenced yard or regular park visits ideal. He's curious about squirrels, birds, and deer, but they're safe as long as they stay out of reach! Indoors, Scout is a laid-back companion who loves relaxing with his humans, snuggling on a soft blanket, and being close by. Scout is food-motivated which can make training more fun for him. While he can be a little pushy for attention at times (think paw on your lap or those adorable puppy eyes), he's a sweetheart through and through. Scout is an occasional counter surfer but can easily be managed by a vigilant family. This lovable boy deserves a forever home where he can enjoy daily walks, plenty of sniffing opportunities, and the company of people who are around much of the day.
