About Rocky

Meet Rocky, a charming and affectionate boy who is approximately 5 to 6 years old. With his warm personality, he greets everyone with enthusiasm and enjoys every moment spent outdoors. Rocky walks beautifully on a leash, making outings a pleasure, and he revels in the freedom of running and playing with his furry friends here. His friendly nature shines through as he has effortlessly befriended every dog he has encountered. Health-wise, Rocky is in good shape; he is negative for heartworm, has received treatment for Lyme disease, and is up to date on all his vaccinations. This sweet boy's journey hasn't been easy, however. He was part of a heartbreaking court case, having been rescued from a home where he was neglected. When he first arrived, he was malnourished and weighed only 30 pounds. Thanks to compassionate care, he has significantly improved and now weighs 43 pounds, continuing to gain strength and health each day. Rocky's past involved being tied outside and forgotten, but now he longs for a nurturing home where he can enjoy life to the fullest. He adores food and craves cuddles, and he is eager to share his love with a family that will cherish him. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (DHPP), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
