About Charlie

Courtesy post! He needs to find a loving home ASAP Here is what person who found him writes: Charlie is the SWEETEST dog ever so loving and absolutely adorable. He also has such an endearing personality and can be a snuggle bug. He loves to go for rides in the car or walks on a leash. I rescued Charlie from a deserted highway out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the desert several miles from residential area which makes me think that somebody just dropped him off, as I do not see how he would have made it that long in the desert but for that (heat exhaustion, coyotes). I saw him in the desert, and pulled over, and he came right up to me and laid down right on my feet. It was so touching because I opened the car door and he jumped right in. I tried and tried to find his owner posting ads and so forth, but no one came forward (again, I suspect he was dropped off). I also tried making an ad for him to be adopted or to find a non-profit rescue, and nothing came from it. He is the most wonderful family dog. Unfortunately, I cannot keep him based on our home and I have another male dog for two years that will not mix with him (it is not Charlie). It is barely manageable as I need to keep the two of them separated in the home and take them out at different times. It will break my heart to have to surrender Charlie to the pound (have an appointment on January 3) so I am trying once again to find him a home. If you were to meet Charlie you would fall in love with him. I have a extra large super size dog crate that could go with him. This would mean the world to me (and to Charlie!) to find him a home!
